Chris Paul is finally, at long last, off to the NBA Finals, so of course he had to give a shoutout to … Billy Crystal.
Yes, that Billy Crystal, the actor/comedian.
But it makes a whole lot of sense!
Crystal was courtside for Game 6 between Paul’s Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers, who happen to be the team the actor is most famous for rooting for over the past decades even when they were an NBA laughingstock.
And as Paul pointed out in his postgame interview, he played in front of Crystal when he was a member of the “Lob City” Clippers.
