Chris Paul calls Game 6 of Raptors-Celtics ‘best game in the bubble’

Just because the Thunder have been eliminated from the playoffs doesn’t mean that Chris Paul isn’t still enjoying the playoffs.

Presumably back home with his family, Paul was doing what most of us were on Wednesday night — taking in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference’s first round series between the Raptors and the Celtics.

In the end, behind a spirited and gutsy effort from the defending champs, the Raptors won Game 6 by a final score of 125-122, but they needed two overtimes to do it. The game’s final 22 minutes (the fourth quarter and overtime) featured six lead changes, countless ties and some clutch shot-making from both sides.

The Raptors would take the lead for good on a clutch three-point shot from OG Anunoby and behind Kyle Lowry’s 33 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Although the Celtics kept coming, some clutch free throws from Norman Powell helped Toronto pull off the win and force a Game 7 on Friday night. The winner will go to the Eastern Conference Finals to do battle with the Miami Heat.

Chris Paul is here for it.

“Best game in the bubble so far!! Celtics/Raptors #Respect,” Paul tweeted during the contest.

As the “Point God” watched the playoffs on television, one can’t help but to wonder if he thought that it should be him playing for an opportunity to go to the conference finals. Paul’s future has come into full focus since the Thunder were eliminated from the playoffs last week.
