Sex And The City star Chris Noth has defended Sarah Jessica Parker after she was 'targeted' by former co-star Kim Cattrall.
The 67-year-old admitted that the women's long-term public feud is 'uncomfortable', with Kim even being absent from the upcoming reboot of the iconic series, And Just Like That...
Chris, who plays Sarah's other half Mr Big in the series, said of Kim: "I have to tell you, I have absolutely no idea what her thinking is or her emotions.
"I do know that I’m very close with SJ and [Cattrall’s] descriptions of her don’t even come close. I liked her, I thought she was marvellous in the show and some people move on for their own reasons. I don’t know what hers were."
He continued to The Guardian : "I just wish that whole thing had never happened because it was sad and uncomfortable. I just don’t like to see anyone talking down about SJ because she’s a target and people can be nasty."

The actor also said he is 'very protective' of his on-screen lover and was upset over Kim - who played Samantha Jones - calling SJP a 'hypocrite'.
Kim famously called out SJP in 2018 for sending 'insincere' condolences over the death of her brother Chris.
Rumours of the two feuding had been swirling around the media and online since the original series was running.
Three years ago, Kim took to Instagram to slam SJP and reminisced on how 'cruel' the Hocus Pocus actress was when the series was still being filmed.
"My Mom asked me today ‘When will that @sarahjessicaparker, that hypocrite, leave you alone?'" she captioned her post.
"Let me make this VERY clear. (If I haven’t already) You are not my family. You are not my friend.
"So I’m writing to tell you one last time to stop exploiting our tragedy in order to restore your ‘nice girl’ persona," she concluded the savage takedown.

Meanwhile, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis are reprising their roles as Miranda Hobbes and Charlotte York respectively in a new reboot, while Kim has distanced herself from the franchise.
On Friday Night with Jonathan Ross in 2004, Kim claimed the series ended due to a dispute over pay.
The Telegraph then reported that tensions had sparked between Kim and Sarah over pay, when Sarah's pay was bumped up to a reported £220million in series two because she had become an executive producer on the show.

During a chat with Piers Morgan on Life Stories a few years ago, Kim claimed she was "never friends" with her fellow cast members.
She said she had no idea when she last spoke to her co-stars.
"Nobody ever picks up the phone and tries to contact you and say, ‘How you doing?’ That would have been the way to handle it,” she said
"This is, it feels like, a toxic relationship."
