Hibs are closing in on the signing of USA winger Chris Mueller, according to a report.
The winger will leave Orlando City at the end of the MLS season and has agreed a pre-contract with Hibs.
The 24-year-old has two caps for his national side and scored twice on his debut against El Salvador in November 2020.
His club have confirmed he will move to Europe in January and it now looks like Hibs will be his destination.
The Daily Record report the Easter Road club have signed a deal with the American, with Jack Ross' side looking to break into that market given their American owner in Ron Gordon.
A statement from Orlando said: "Orlando City SC and Chris Mueller have been involved in contract negotiations for some time, with the forward’s contract set to expire following the 2021 Major League Soccer season.
"Earlier, Mueller informed the club that he has signed a pre-contract to join a European team upon the end of his time with Orlando City.
"The pre-contract was signed in line with all FIFA regulations.
"As noted, Mueller’s contract with Orlando City is valid through the end of the 2021 MLS season and will continue as a member of the Lions’ roster for the remainder of his time in Orlando."
