Speculation has been mounting over where the 20-year-old would end up after leaving Rangers, and it looks like he is staying at Windsor Park.

It is understood Linfield have agreed a deal to bring the striker - who scored six goals in 16 appearances for the Blues - back to Belfast on a permanent basis.

Meanwhile, McKee said on Twitter: "Just want to say a big thank you to @RangersFC for the last 4 years, the amazing experiences and friends gained.

"Just want to thank the staff within the club for everything they’ve done for me over the last few years.

"It’s been an absolute pleasure but now onto the next chapter."
