Chris Martin Exposes CEO’s Affair At Coldplay Concert, Sparks Tons Of Hilarious Memes And Jokes

The story about the couple at a Coldplay concert who are apparently having an extramarital affair is just what the internet needed.

It happened a few nights ago at a Coldplay concert near Boston in the U.S.

As is common during large concerts or sporting events, a ‘kiss cam’ was used, wherein a roving camera films various people in attendance and broadcasts their image onto jumbotron screens that are visible throughout the venue.

At one point, the Coldplay kiss cam settled on a middle-aged-looking couple, whose reaction to being filmed started a chain of events that is still spiraling out of control.

Immediately after seeing themselves snuggling together on camera, the woman, who has since been identified as Kristin Cabot, turned around and covered her face with her hands.

The man she was with, who has since been identified as Andy Byron, awkwardly crouched down, out of view.

While narrating the kiss cam shots, Coldplay frontman Chris Martin said that the pair’s strange behavior was likely because: “They’re either having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

For a few brief moments, the entire crowd was focused on the couple, who was desperately trying to disappear. Eventually, the concert went on as planned.

But internet sleuths weren’t finished with the couple just yet.

In a matter of hours, the pair’s entire history and seeming affair became a hot topic on Reddit, and a sizzling story for other online publications.

Byron was discovered to be the CEO of Astronomer.io, a company that “helps organizations build, deploy, schedule, and monitor data pipelines as code.”

His concert mate, Kristin Cabot, is the company’s CPO, Chief Personnel Officer.

Byron is believed to be married with children. His wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, has even deleted her social media page since the incident went viral.

According to various media, “shortly before taking down her profile, she deleted her surname from her account.”

Now, as people the world over take in the story, a tidal wave of memes, gifs, and one-liners has “brought the internet together,” just in time for the weekend.

One post sums it all up: “Coldplay didn’t just play music—they dropped lore, triggered a public breakup arc, broke LinkedIn, and somehow united the timeline. That’s not a concert, that’s a cultural reset. Can’t wait for the documentary.”

As is sometimes the case with viral stories, even brands are getting in on the action.
