Chris Kamara has dropped a major hint that he is the Grandfather Clock on The Masked Singer .
The football pundit appeared on Steph’s Packed Lunch with host Steph McGovern on Tuesday when talk turned to him looking like the mystery singer.
As discussions turned to Saturday’s episode of ITV’s The Masked Singer and whether social media speculation about Chris being behind the mask of the Grandfather Clock is accurate, Steph said: “I’ve got to ask you Kammy, are you the Grandfather Clock on The Masked Singer?”
Keeping tight lipped he replied: “It’s a great show.”
For his appearance on Steph’s Packed Lunch, Kammy was wearing a brown jumper and sporting his iconic moustache which, coincidentally, looks like the Grandfather Clock costume.
Former politician Jacqui Smith and comedian Russell Kane commented on his appearance saying: “They’ve not even changed the face...” and “He’s got the same top on!”
Chris laughed and replied: “You’ve clocked it!”
Steph said: “Obviously we don’t want to ruin the show but can you give us any hint? Have you got the time on you Kammy? It’s a story that really chimes with Kammy this one…
Putting a picture side by side (still can be found attached), Russell Kane said: “Look at that, it’s like a spot the difference.”
With Chris smiling and not commenting, Steph gave up probing the pundit saying: “Oh you’ve got such a good poker face!”
Fans have been speculating over the identity for the mysterious character since the show returned to ITV.
Alongside the likes of TV chef Gino D'Acampo , former EastEnders star Joe Swash , comedian Matt Lucas and magician Dynamo , Chris is the latest subject of speculation for the identity of one of the show’s masked characters.
Steph’s Packed Lunch airs weekdays at 12.30pm on Channel 4.
