Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Chris Jones has been teasing the release of his signature “Stone Cold Jones Sodas” for a while now.
The first run of the sodas, produced by KC Soda Co., is available now at their storefront in City Market. They planned the release around “816 Day” which is a local celebration of Kansas City on Aug. 16, named after the 816 area code.
The craft sodas feature a cool label with Chris Jones’ likeness on it. Here are the four flavors:
- Stone Cold Jones Cream Soda
- Sack Nation Strawberry
- Summer Lemonade
- Root Beer
The first 50 guests who arrived today received a special Root Beer autographed by Jones. They were out of those autographed bottles within five minutes of opening.
KC Soda Co. is also doing a giveaway for a signed bottle in celebration of “816 Day.” Share a picture of yourself with a bottle of the soda and tag KC Soda Co. on Facebook or Instagram to be entered for a chance to win.
For out-of-state fans, there will be opportunities to place online orders for September delivery via KCSoda.com. So keep an eye out on the website for when that might become available.
In the future, Jones and KC Soda Co. may be planning to add some new flavors of soda. So if you’re more of a cola person or you like ginger ale, you might just be in luck.
