Chris Hughton urged to bring midfield ace back to Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have been urged to bring Henri Lansbury back to the City Ground.

The 29-year-old midfielder left the Reds for Aston Villa in 2017.

But he is said to have been made available for transfer by the Premier League club.

“I would be looking very closely as a Championship club," said former Leeds United striker Noel Whelan, speaking to Football Insider.

“Forest might. Forest could do with someone like Henri Lansbury back there to be quite honest with you.

"You’re talking about a midfield player with quality, aggression, creativity, set-piece taking.”

Lansbury played almost 150 league games for Forest, after joining them from Arsenal in 2012.
