Chris Hughton has continued to add to his backroom staff at Nottingham Forest by adding two former Republic of Ireland international to his team.

Goalkeeping coach Nick Colgan joins from from Wigan Athletic while former West Brom midfielder Steven Reid has joined the Reds' set-up as first-team coach.

Colgan enjoyed a fine playing career which spanned more than 20 years which saw him play for a number of clubs including Chelsea, Hibernian, Grimsby and Barnsley.

The 47-year-old had previously worked at Huddersfield Town's academy before stepping up to the first team. He then left to join Wigan in 2017 and has now left the Latics for the Reds.

Reid, meanwhile, will combine his duties at Forest with a role at the Scottish FA where he is also involved in their senior set-up.

Reid has vast experience as a player having made more than 350 appearances for Milllwall, Blackburn and West Brom.

He was also capped 23 times by the Republic of Ireland and has coaching experience with Reading, Crystal Palace and West Brom.

The duo now join Paul Trollope at the City Ground with the former Derby player being appointed as Hughton's number two earlier this month.

Hughton officially begins his era at Blackburn Rovers tomorrow.
