Chris Hughton reveals Nottingham Forest team to face Norwich City

Tobias Figueiredo returned to the starting line-up against Norwich City as Nottingham Forest were without the injured Scott McKenna.

After missing out on a place in the XI for Saturday’s clash at Reading, Figueiredo was back in the side for the clash at Carrow Road as McKenna missed out with an ankle injury.

It was one of three changes made by boss Chris Hughton to his Reds side, with Samba Sow making his first start since returning from a hamstring problem and Sammy Ameobi also in the team.

Ryan Yates was absent through suspension, following his red card in the weekend’s 2-0 defeat, while Anthony Knockaert dropped to the bench.

Joe Worrall retained the captain’s armband as he partnered Figueiredo in the heart of the defence, with Cyrus Christie at right-back and Yuri Ribeiro on the left, ahead of goalkeeper Brice Samba.

In what could be either a 4-3-3 or 4-1-4-1 formation, Sow was set to join Harry Arter and Cafu in the midfield.

And Ameobi was set to join Joe Lolley in supporting front man Lyle Taylor as the Reds looked to end a run of five games without a goal or a win.

Knockaert was joined on the bench by Jordan Smith, Loic Mbe Soh, Carl Jenkinson, Alex Mighten, Miguel Angel Guerrero, Michael Dawson, Nicholas Ioannou and Will Swan.

The latter continued his run in the first-team matchday squad, fresh from signing a new long-term contract at the club earlier this week.

Forest: Samba, Christie, Worrall, Figueiredo, Ribeiro, Arter, Cafu, Sow, Lolley, Taylor, Ameobi. Subs: Smith, Mbe Soh, Jenkinson, Mighten, Guerrero, Dawson, Knockaert, Ioannou, Swan.
