Chris Hughton reveals Nottingham Forest team to face Derby County

Lyle Taylor and Harry Arter came into the starting line-up for Nottingham Forest in the East Midlands derby as boss Chris Hughton tweaked his formation.

The Reds manager opted for a 4-4-2 for the clash with Derby County at the City Ground, as he made two changes to the starting XI which drew 1-1 with Rotherham United last time out.

Taylor was set to link up with Lewis Grabban up front, while Arter came into the midfield as Jack Colback was left out of the squad and Luke Freeman dropped to the bench.

The back five remained the same for a third successive outing under Hughton, goalkeeper Brice Samba behind a defence of Cyrus Christie at right-back, Nicholas Ioannou on the left and a central pairing of Scott McKenna and Tobias Figueiredo.

Arter joined Ryan Yates in the centre of midfield, with Sammy Ameobi and Joe Lolley on the flanks, supporting the two strikers.

There was a first inclusion in a matchday squad for Anthony Knockaert, who became Forest’s 14th summer signing when he joined on loan from Fulham on domestic transfer deadline day.

The winger was named on the bench, alongside Freeman, Jordan Smith, Loic Mbe Soh, Carl Jenkinson, Alex Mighten and Samba Sow.

Forest: Samba, Christie, Figueiredo, McKenna, Ioannou, Lolley, Yates, Arter, Ameobi, Grabban, Taylor. Subs: Smith, Mbe Soh, Freeman, Jenkinson, Mighten, Sow, Knockaert.
