Chris Hughton names Nottingham Forest team to face Cardiff as key man returns

Joe Worrall made a welcome return to Nottingham Forest's starting 11 as Reds boss Chris Hughton went in search of victory at Cardiff City.

Worrall had been absent due to a cracked rib but was deemed fit enough to make his return as he slotted back in the heart of the defence.

Tobias Figueiredo was the man to make way for Worrall who was one of three changes for the Reds as Filip Krovinovic dropped to the bench and Gaetan Bong not in the squad altogether.

As usual, Hughton named a 4-2-3-1 formation with Brice Samba in goal behind the back four of Cyrus Christie, Worrall, McKenna and left-back Tyler Blackett.

In the holding midfield role was Ryan Yates and James Garner, while the attacking trio in front of them was Alex Mighten, Cafu and Sammy Ameobi.

Up front on his own was captain Lewis Grabban.

On the bench were Jordan Smith, Yuri Ribeiro, Loic Mbe Soh, Jack Colback, Luke Freeman, Glenn Murray, Krovinovic Anthony Knockaert and Lyle Taylor.

Forest: Samba; Christie, Worrall, McKenna, Blackett; Yates, Cafu; Ameobi, Cafu, Mighten, Grabban.
