Love Island star Chris Hughes refuses to believe his split with Jesy Nelson is permanent and is hoping for a reunion once lockdown is over, according to reports.
He split from Little Mix singer Jesy, 28, last week after 18 months together, and Chris, 27, had openly discussed his dreams to marry her.
So he is reportedly hoping to win her back once the lockdown period ends, believing she is just struggling to deal with them not being able to see each other.
A source told The Sun: “Chris is absolutely convinced that he is going to be getting back with Jesy just as soon as isolation ends and they can be together again.
“As far as he is concerned, this split is just temporary and actually it’s more of a break than a break-up.
“Chris is still madly in love with Jesy and is convinced she’s just struggling with being apart from him."
They also added that Jesy's friends say she feels the same and also wants to reunite with Chris when things get easier once coronavirus is over.

The couple had always posted loved up snaps and captions on social media and protective Chris supported Jesy when she received cruel comments from trolls.
Chris had talked about his dreams to marry Jesy and have kids with her, but their relationship was marred by the NTAs in January.
Jesy had won an award for her documentary, Odd One Out, but the limelight was stolen by Chris as he got into a fist fight with a photographer while leaving the venue.
Jesy and Chris got together in January 2018 after her split from her ex Harry James the previous November.
Chris' most high profile relationship before Jesy was with his Love Island co-star Olivia Attwood.
He got together with Jesy after they shared a kiss in the window of a kebab shop, and Jesy once referred to him as "my future husband" on Instagram.
