Chris Hughes rushed to A&E ahead of Cheltenham Festival hosting stint

Chris Hughes has revealed that he was rushed to A&E ahead of his presenting stint at Cheltenham Festival.

The Love Island star, 27, took to Instagram Stories to share a picture of his feet as he sat in the waiting room with a pal.

It was later confirmed that he had visited A&E after being in pain due to suspected kidney stones.

Chris' rep told Mail Online: "Chris has been in some pain with suspected kidney stones - it has alleviated overnight after his trip to the hospital and some medicine."

Mirror Online has contacted his reps for comment.

The reality TV star didn't seem to be too happy to be on hospital and wrote on his Insta story: "Just what we need on the eve of Cheltenham."

He has been excitedly posting videos and photos in the lead-up to Cheltenham, including of his favourite horse Annie Mc.

Chris captioned a behind-the-scenes video of the horse: "Love this film by the @coralofficial guys. Got quite emotional looking back over the amazing journey Annie Mc has taken us all on, and I can hardly sleep I’m so excited about her running Thursday at the Cheltenham Festival. What dreams are made of #AnnieMc ."

The former Islander previously suffered from health issues and as a result, back in 2018, decided to freeze his sperm .

During the appearance on Loose Women, he revealed that he had found a build-up of veins coming from his kidney on his left testicle when he was 14. However he waited until he was 20 to go to the doctor about it because he was "embarrassed".

He has since sought help for the condition which included key hole surgery and draining the fluid.

"I had my sperm from that frozen in case it didn't work," he said.

Explaining that it ran in the family, he said: "My brother is completely infertile but he had a miracle child... my cousin had testicular cancer so we've all got problems down there."
