Chris Hughes has made a cruel dig at his ex Olivia Attwood by declaring he has more respect for Jesy Nelson than any of his previous girlfriends.
The Love Island contestant, 26, went public with his romance with the Little Mix beauty, 28, back in February and they moved in together over the summer.
In interview with Happiful magazine, Chris opened up about the couple's relationship and was full of praise for Jesy.
He explained the pair's romance is stronger because of the struggles with similar issues they've both been through, including battles with trolls.
Chris explained: "I've got a respect for Jesy that I've never had for another girlfriend...
"It's just about having someone to speak to who understands you."
He added that he does want to settle down with Jesy eventually, but marriage and babies will have to wait until they are both ready.
He added: "We do speak about that kind of thing, but her career's still flying.
"I don't think you should rush into having children, but enjoy time together and do the things you can't necessarily do when you've got kids together."
Chris and Jesy got together at the start of 2019, following Chris' split from Love Island co-star Olivia the previous year.
Olivia went back to her pre-villa boyfriend, footballer Bradley Dack, and the pair got engaged last weekend.
