Chris Hughes has become the unofficial fifth member of Little Mix after standing in for Jade Thirwall during a sound check.
The Love Island 2017 star joined girlfriend Jesy Nelson and her bandmates Perry Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock to test out their vocals ahead of their performance at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland, last night.
Sharing a quick video of his new place in the band on Instagram , Chris wrote: “Sound check ahead of tonight’s show. Stepping in for our Jade onto the next.”
The brand new foursome were practising their daring routine on top of a suspended transparent platform that dangled high over the heads of the audience - but luckily, Chris didn’t seem too scared of heights.
“Dreams do come true,” he captioned a second snap of him and the three women balancing on top of the tiny platform, as he raised his arms up in joy.
Chris has been accompanying Jesy for part of the Little Mix LM5 European tour and is supporting her in the wake of her hard-hitting BBC documentary into trolling and online harassment.
Brave Jesy opened up about attempting suicide after the band hit the dizzying heights of fame in the wake of their X Factor appearance, and told of how horrific messages and tweets pointing out her flaws drove her to take an overdose.
Most of the comments focused on her body and looks, prompting Jesy to stave herself for days at a time and storm out of photoshoots in tears because she didn’t feel comfortable in the outfits provided.
But with professional therapy - and deleting Twitter - Jesy is now feeling more confident and happy with herself.
The singer and her bandmates have been sharing snaps from their tour - especially from their snack-laden tour bus.
The girls will play in Belfast and Dublin, before moving on to Glasgow, Liverpool, Newcastle Upon Tyne and Sheffield, before a show in London on Halloween .
They then move on to Birmingham, Nottingham, Manchester and Leeds before returning to the capital for two more shows.
Little Mix’s world tour then heads Down Under for shows in Australia and New Zealand taking them into the New Year.
