Chris Hughes hails Jesy Nelson the ‘best’ as she surprises him with a romantic theatre date night

Chris Hughes and Jesy Nelson proved they are couple goals after she surprised him with a trip to the theatre to see Only Fools and Horses.

The Love Island star hailed it a “romantic date night” as they cosied up in a series of Instagram videos from the back of a taxi.

Hughes acted like a love-sick puppy as he appeared to declare his love for Nelson, saying: “I love...”

The Little Mix singer mocked him before quizzing him on what it is he loves, to which he pointed to her and then himself.

Nelson asked the reality star: “What am I?”

He chuckled before declaring: “The best.”

Hughes also shared a sweet snap of the pair cuddled up at the theatre at the end of the evening. He captioned the post: "Date night with my toothpick. She took me on a surprise trip to see Only Fools and Horses."

The sweet date comes after the pair looked loved-up in an adorable video of Hughes hilariously butchering the words to Little Mix hit, Woman Like Me.

Over the weekend, Nelson was left in stitches after Hughes struggled to remember the correct words to the girl groups' hit song as he made them up as he went along.

Hughes confirmed his relationship with the musician in an interview earlier this month, shortly after the pair posted a string of loved-up photos on their respective Instagram accounts.
