Chris Hubbard hopes to play vs. Ravens in Week 4 despite foot injury

Chris Hubbard is eager to get back on the field. The Browns’ starting right tackle thinks it will happen in Week 4 when Cleveland travels to Baltimore to face the Ravens.

“Of course I want to play,” Hubbard said after missing Sunday night’s game against the Los Angeles Rams. “I’ll do everything I can to play. … It’s a division rival, and you definitely want to be in those games.”

Hubbard had played every snap of every game since joining the Browns before the 2018 season. While his performance has not been great, he’s a stable veteran presence at a position where the team has no real depth, with backup Kendall Lamm out with a knee injury. Backup guard Justin McCray filled in for Hubbard against the Rams.

If Hubbard cannot go, that would be the plan once again when the Browns face the Ravens. But the big right tackle believes he can play through the pain and get back into the lineup.
