Chris Holtmann was a Buckeye fan before even he knew it

Who knew that Chris Holtmann was a closet Buckeye fan before he came to Columbus? Apparently he didn’t even know according to a picture he shared on Twitter. In the Tweet, the head basketball coach of Ohio State (or someone close to him) drummed up an old photograph of him as a 12-year old kid in Kentucky fishing.

In it, though somewhat obscured by the fish he caught, Holtmann is wearing a “Property of Ohio State University” t-shirt. You remember those shirts right? Well, according to Holtmann, he doesn’t, but sometimes things just make sense.

Maybe the kid from the Bluegrass state that coached Gardner Webb, then went on to become the Butler head coach, and who now does his magic on the sidelines of Ohio State was always destined to be here.

Some fish stories really are true it seems.
