Chris Hemsworth’s personal trainer gives tips for building muscle and says protein shakes are not the answer

It is not every day we get access to a celebrity’s personal trainer but luckily for the world Chris Hemsworth’s PT has decided to share his top tips for building muscle and burning fat.

In an interview with Insider, Luke Zocchi, who recently trained Hemsworth for his role in Thor: Love and Thunder explained that nutrition is key and advised people not to rely on supplements and shakes.

“Eating good food and having a calorie surplus are more important,” he said

“People think things like protein shakes and creatine make a big difference, but that’s only about 5% of the equation.”

He explained that creatine, BCAAs, and similar products only give you an edge if you have already been eating well and exercising consistently. He added that protein shakes only supplement nutrients already found in whole foods.

“It’s dialing in the basics and sticking to the program to get results,” Zocchi said.

He also reminded people that everyone is different so comparing yourself to Hemsworth isn’t the best idea.

“Everyone’s body is different,” he said. “I do the same workouts as Chris and eat the same, and I don’t look like him.”
