Chris Hemsworth has explained the reason why his wife of ten years didn't take his surname after they got married.
The Australian hunk, 36, lifted the lid on the "complicated" reason during an appearance on The Kyle and Jackie O show on Monday.
Marvel Avengers actor Chris admitted that Elsa decided against changing her last name due to passport troubles.
Speaking on the show, he said: "I think that she wanted to [change it]. I think she still may.
"I think it was when we were coming back from America. We were living in Europe and deciding where [to go]. It was a complication of passports and so on."
In response to the star, Kyle hilariously joked: "That's what they all say, but you know she's just really seeing whether it works out or not."

Chris and his stunning wife Elsa have been married since 2010 after quickly falling for each other.
The loved-up couple are doting parents to three children - daughter India Rose, seven, and twin sons Tristan and Sasha, six.
His explanation behind Elsa's surname comes after the actress and model touched on the subject during an interview with Herald Sun last June.

Chris' wife was born Elsa Lafuente Medianu under Spanish tradition.
She revealed: "That's my Spanish name. We actually have two surnames as one, which is weird - your mum's and your dad's."
The model later changed her surname to Pataky in honour of her grandmother Rosa Pataky.
"My grandfather was a theatre actor and I admired him so I started to act as well. I thought, 'You have to have something that really sounds different,'" she added.
"My grandma's surname in Spanish was a little different, so I took it from her and I love it. Pataky - it's actually Hungarian but everybody thinks it's Greek."
