Chris Evans says he's 'changed his life' after uncovering simple weight loss tip

Chris Evans has claimed he's 'changed his life' after uncovering a very simple - and free- 'super tip' to losing weight.

The 53-year-old telly and radio star opened up about his new method which involves only between meals.

Dad-of-five Chris explained that his weight has dropped to 12 stone by avoiding beverages during mealtimes.

Instead Chris only consumes drinks 45 minutes before or after he eats.

Gushing about the benefits, he explained: "'I've been doing this since Saturday and it has changed my life. Liquid, particularly water, interrupts your digestion.

"45 minutes after a meal you really do want to drink, and if you eat four to five hours apart you drink right in the middle, and so that keeps you full.

"It helps your digestion and you lose weight.

"We encourage our kids to have a glass of water with dinner but that's actually the wrong thing to do," he added.

Though Chris is focused on keeping trim, his hopes to appear on Strictly Come Dancing stint this year have been thrown into jeopardy.

The former TFI Friday presenter said that he could be forced to pull out if a lingering knee problem doesn't heal.

Chris told listeners back in December that he was keep to sign up for the BBC One Dance show, of which his wife Natasha is a 'huge fan.'

But during a chat with professional dancer Anton Du Beke, Chris said his knee problem could put him out of the compeition.

But Anton assured him it there would be ways around it: "You've committed to it. Don't worry about your left knee, I'll lift you like I do with everyone else I've danced with, you'll be the same!" he joked.

Earlier this month it was revealed Chris Kamara had been forced to turn down the show because he wouldn't pass the fitness test.

Sky Sports pundit Chris Kamara explains why he turned down BBC Strictly Come Dancing

Speaking to The Sun, he said: "I've been invited to do Strictly and they told me who I would be dancing with because, apparently, you have to train with them for six weeks before. But it's just not going to happen because my body is knackered.

"I got injured just before we filmed Ninja Warrior, which stopped me playing football with my mates. I haven't played football since. I'm crocked now, my back has gone and I feel like my body has packed in.

"I'm totally knackered now. They'd need some serious WD-40 for me."
