Chris Evans' radio co-star weeps over girl, 4, who wrote a letter to her mum in heaven

Chris Evans ' co-host was overcome with emotion reading a heart-breaking Mother's Day tribute.

Vassos Alexander broke down in tears when he read the letter penned by four-year-old Ella Lennon, who had written the card for her mum Jennifer, who had passed away in December reportedly due to a brain tumour.

Ella posted the card and was 'so happy' to receive a touching response from a staff member at the Royal Mail, who kindly took time to reply to the youngster as her mother.

Vassos issued a 'mascara warning' before he began to read the heartbreaking letter which he had to pause several times to collect himself, before finishing.

Two days later Ella received a reply: “To my beautiful Ella, thank you so much for my very special Mother’s Day card.

“You’re one in a Minion to me. I love you so much. You're growing up to be a very special and clever big girl,” a choked up Vassos read.

There wasn't a dry eye in the studio as Vassos finished the reading, adding "you won't read a more heartwarming story this year".
