Chris Evans in bizarre rant about how everyone is mispronouncing Meghan Markle's name

Radio host Chris Evans had listeners confused this morning as he launched into a rant about the Duchess of Sussex's name.

Virgin Radio's Chris insisted that we've all been wrong about the name "Meghan" - and it should be "Mee-gan."

Chris' rant came after he revealed earlier in the show that he thinks he and his family have all had coronavirus.

The 54 year old said he reckons he and his wife, Natasha Shishmania, as well as their three kids Noah, seven, and 17 month old twins Walt and Boo have all been through Covid-19.

Chris said: "I think I've had [coronavirus].

"I'm not saying I'm qualified to say this though.

"So many of us had this really weird cold two or three weeks ago and if four of five most prominent people on the telly talking about coronavirus, if they can get it - they're only mild symptoms, a bit of a sniffle and a dry cough..."

He went on to justify not self-isolating to begin with, adding: "I didn't get the fever or the dry cough, that's why I didn't self-isolate.

"Noah had the fever and he self-isolated before we all had to four 14 days. But by that time, Tash had this cough and almost everybody you saw on the telly reporting on the coronavirus looked red-faced and runny-eyed.

"I think lots of us have had it!"

Chris has been broadcasting his boat after he left London because of the virus.

He's been very vocal about the outbreak on his show, slamming the government's initial response by urging people not to go to pubs, clubs and cinemas - but not telling them to close.

"I don't think that's fair," he scolded.
