Chris Eubank Jr's catchweight bout against Conor Benn at the 02 Arena in London has been called off following the latter's adverse drug test finding.
With both Wasserman and Matchroom Boxing initially announcing no suspension had been given the way of Benn, the British Board of Boxing Control announced on Wednesday any such bout would be prohibited.
Representatives of 25-year-old Benn had been in court attempting to seek an injunction into the matter. Eddie Hearn had also hoped a resolution could be found with his best attempts now falling on deaf ears.

However, with an announcement confirming the decision, Matchroom Boxing posted a statement insisting the fight was 'no longer in the fighter's interest' to proceed. With similar controversy surrounding David Haye and Derek Chisora back in 2012, as a Luxembourg license was acquired, there was also talk a similar agreement could be reached.
The official statement read: ''After discussions with various parties, we have taken the decision to formally postpone the bout between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn. It is undeniable that the British Boxing Board of Control's decision to withdraw their sanctioning was procedurally flawed and without due process. That remains a legal issue between the promoters and the Board which we intend to pursue.
''However, whilst there are legal routes to facilitate the gith taking [place as planned, we don't believe that it is in the fighters' interest of the sport. As promoters, we take our obligations and duties very seriously, and a full investigation will now need to take place. We will be taking no further comment at his time and news for ticket holder refunds will follow.''
A full undercard was also pulled for the sold-out show in the capital, with the likes of Lyndon Arthur and Shannon Courtenay also set to appear. 18,000 fans were expected to be in attendance, with the Benn v Eubank family rivalry set for another chapter.
