Chris Eubank Jr has been taken to hospital after his brutal fight against Conor Benn.
Eubank Jr claimed victory in Saturday night’s thrilling grudge match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, winning by unanimous decision after being unexpectedly reunited with father Chris Eubank Sr ahead of one of the biggest bouts of his career to date.
The 35-year-old won 116-112 on all three judges’ scorecards in north London, but also received plenty of huge punches over the course of a pulsating 12-round firefight that provided non-stop entertainment throughout with the pace and action simply never relenting until the last bell.
And Eubank Jr’s promoters BOXXER have now confirmed that the winner has been taken to hospital by ambulance as a precaution following the recommendation of the on-site doctor in north London, with his post-fight press conference cancelled as a result.

No specific injuries have been confirmed, though Eubank Jr did receive a nasty cut above his right eye following an accidental clash of heads during the fight, which bled and required plenty of work in the corner between rounds.
Benn said at his own press conference after the first defeat of his professional career that he had heard Eubank Jr had suffered a broken jaw.
“I wish him well,” Benn said. “I know he’s gone to the hospital.
“I’ve heard he’s got a broken jaw. I wish him a speedy recovery. I also want to thank [Chris Eubank] Senior for turning up because this really is a family affair.
“It wouldn’t have been what it was without Senior there.”
