Chris Eubank Jr punches Ben Shephard for 20 seconds straight on GMB

Pro boxer Chris Eubank Jr repeatedly punched ITV presenter Ben Shephard live on Good Morning Britain. The pair took part in a boxing exercise in what Ben described as the "longest 20 seconds of my life" during an appearance on today's show (Jan 12).

The Tipping Point and Ninja Warrior UK host stood with protective gear on his torso as Chris pummelled his chest and stomach for 20 seconds - leaving his fellow presenters in hysterics in the background. Before starting, Ben said: "I think he's knocked out 33 people" then added: "I feel a bit queasy."

Presenter Ranvir Singh admitted: "I'm a bit worried about this." In response, Ben pointed to co-host Kate Garraway and laughed to Ranvir: "She's not though, she can't wait", reported Birmingham Live.

Kate then joked: "Yeah, honestly. We were chatting to the producer last night about what was going to be in the show today and I said 'you don't need to show me that, what's this about Ben getting pummelled?' And Father Christmas did get my letter after all."

Ben added: "It's nice to get support from your friends isn't it?" Before the exercise, Kate had told Chris: "So you have three fights this year... how about another one?"

She then offered up Ben, who donned protective gear as Chris told to tense his abdominal area to "absorb the punches". Kate reassured her co-star during the segment, laughing: "Dr Hilary is on standby. I don't know what he will be able to do other than support and laugh."

As the Rocky theme song played, Ben squealed and screamed throughout the exercise, yelling: "Alright, alright. Longest 20 seconds of my life!" He briefly doubled over, recovering with his hands on his knees, at the end before hugging Chris.

The boxer said. "Well done, you did very well. I am very impressed." Ben added: "Was that the slowest 20 second count ever? It went on for about three days!"
