Chris Eubank Jr.out to unify super-middleweight division after crushing win over James DeGale

Chris Eubank Jr. has set his sights on unifying the super-middleweight division after a unanimous points decision win over James DeGale at London’s O2 on Saturday.

The 29-year-old won the IBO title in the process but wants more after claiming the belt from DeGale, who, at 33, now looks destined to hang up his gloves.

“I’m back where I need to be, at the top of the food chain, and now I’m coming for all the other belts in the super-middleweight division,” said Eubank Jr.

“I’ve made a statement. It is belt season, it is collections season.”

Eubank Jr. won a unanimous points decision 114-112 115-112 117-109 at London’s O2 Arena.

Former Olympic champion DeGale is yet to confirm his future plans, but said he would take time to talk to his team and family, having suggested before the fight that he would likely retire if defeated.
