Chris Carson tied at No. 12 for most consistent fantasy running back

Sometimes the biggest names in the game aren’t the ones who put up the most points as far as fantasy football leagues are concerned. With the 2018 season now in the books, NFL.com’s Senior Fantasy Analyst, Michael Fabiano, took a look at the most consistent running backs of last year.

Seahawks’ starter Chris Carson tied with Bengals’ Joe Mixon at No. 12 on the list.

“Carson didn’t put up monster totals, but he was consistently in the 12-15 point range in the second half before posting two 23-plus point games in the last two weeks of the fantasy playoffs,” Fabiano writes. “The question now is . . .  can he hold off Rashaad Penny?”

In 14 games played last season – just the second of his career – Carson logged 247 carries for 1151 yards and nine touchdowns. He became the first Seattle running back to post a 1000-plus yard season since Marshawn Lynch in 2014.

Carson was also a factor in the Seahawks’ receiving game, totaling 20 receptions for 163 yards.
