Chris Cadden is Hibs transfer target although The Hibees face competition from England

Chris Cadden is a transfer target for Hibs.

The former Motherwell winger is back in Scotland during the MLS off-season and could be set for a switch to Easter Road in January.

Cadden, once the subject of a transfer bid from city rivals Hearts, hasn’t featured as much as he would’ve liked as Columbus Crew won the MLS Cup this season.

And Jack Ross is keen to offer him a return to the Scottish Premiership, according to the Daily Record.

Ross has previously said he is happy with the squad he has although is expected to still do some transfer business when the window opens in six day’s time.

That could either be a loan deal or permanent transfer although The Hibees face competition from Oxford United.

Cadden, who can also play as a full back, left Scotland summer when his Motherwell deal expired and he headed to the states.

Crew immediately loaned him to Oxford and the club were keen to make the deal permanent, although Cadden opted to stay in America.

However, he has found gametime hard to come by so a move hope could appeal to the Scotland international.
