Chris Burke bags incredible SIX Kilmarnock assists as Ayr United upset Ross County - Scottish Cup round up

Kilmarnock powered into the fifth round of the William Hill Scottish Cup as Chris Burke bagged an incredible SIX assists in a 6-0 thumping of Queen's Park.

Defender Alex Bruce was first to benefit from the midfielder's pinpoint cross with the opener.

Stuart Findlay - making his return after a two-and-half-month hamstring injury lay-off - then pounced twice.

Greg Kiltie, new striker Nicke Kabamba and Stephen O'Donnell were also set up by the 36-year-old as Alex Dyer claimed his first win since taking over as Rugby Park boss last month.

And with frontman Eamonn Brophy injured, attacking midfielder Kiltie was pressed into an unfamiliar striker role on his return from a loan stint at Dunfermline.

But with Burke providing so much quality from his set-pieces, Kilmarnock could afford to do without an out-and-out poacher.

Elsewhere, Steven Bell's knockout blow left Ross County with ringing in their ears as his goal sent Ayr into the fifth round.

The midfielder was left unchallenged to nod Stephen Kelly's corner into the net and put the Honest Men into the hat for Sunday's draw.

Hearts also recorded a morale-boosting 5-0 win over Airdrie as Daniel Stendel earned his first victory since replacing Craig Levein.

Goals from Andy Irving, Sean Clare, Steven Naismith, Euan Henderson and Craig Halkett sealed a resounding win over the League One title chasers.

And Aberdeen left it late to see off Dumbarton - Sam Cosgrove's 86th minute penalty proved the difference at Pittodrie.
