Chris Bosh's social-media campaign about his intention to return to the NBA this season included a special guest Tuesday.
A day after posting workout videos on Snapchat and Twitter, Bosh posted a photo Tuesday on his Twitter and Instagram accounts of him standing alongside former Heat teammate Dwyane Wade, accompanied by the caption of, "Great workout with the homie [at sign]DwyaneWade this morning. [hashtag]hardwork."
Wade left the Heat for the Chicago Bulls as a free agent last month.
Bosh is working his way back from last season's bout with blood clots, the second consecutive year he was sidelined for the second half of the season with the ailment.
Bosh, Wade and Udonis Haslem were the Heat's tri-captains last season.
Wednesday is the deadline for the Heat to stretch Bosh's remaining salary, $76 million over the next three seasons, off their salary cap over the remaining seven seasons, the NBA's annual Aug. 31 "stretch" deadline, should they elect to waive him.
The Heat are not expected to make such a move, which would make Bosh a free agent and also preclude the Heat from potentially seeking full salary-cap relief at the Feb. 9 one-year deadline from Bosh's last regular-season game played.
