Chris and Rosie Ramsey 'devastated' after being forced to cancel shows

Chris and Rosie Ramsey had to postpone two Sh*gged, Married, Annoyed shows in Edinburgh today due to a stage malfunction.

The comics, whose podcast and books have achieved enormous success, were set for two performances at Edinburgh Playhouse on Sunday September 5.

But the venue's stage curtain is broken and can not be lifted up to allow performances to go ahead.

The husband and wife from South Shields, who moved to Northumberland earlier this year, travelled up to Edinburgh on Saturday night, only for the news to break on Sunday that their shows could not go ahead as planned.

Rosie posted an update on Instagram, apologising to fans.

"We are absolutely devastated that both shows in Edinburgh today have been cancelled. It is completely out of our hands, we only found out this morning ourselves."

It adds: "The iron curtain on the stage at the venue is broken and can't be lifted up, so it's impossible for either show to go ahead. We're so sorry."

Both Edinburgh Playhouse shows have been rescheduled to December 5.

"Again, we're just so gutted and can't apologise enough," the message, which was also posted on social media by Chris, reads.
