Chocolate fans petition to bring back another retro Cadbury bar discontinued in 2005

Chocolate lovers everywhere were delighted when Cadbury confirmed they were bringing back an old favourite last week.

The chocolate giant revealed it was putting Bournville Old Jamaica Rum and Raisin back on the shelves, after first launching it in 1970.

Cadbury's announcement went down a treat with customers, but left many wanting more, reports Manchester Evening News .

At the time, Bournville Brand Manager at Mondelēz International, Bethany Wenn, said the relaunch highlighted the "increasing consumer demand to bring back retro flavours."

And it would appear she was right, as many are now campaigning for the return of another iconic bar, the Spira.

The Twirl-style treat was launched in the mid-1980s, before being discontinued in 2005.

Those eager for its return have been posting about it on Facebook.

One social media comment reads: "Bring back the Spira!!!!"

Another asked: "So many people want it back. Why haven't they yet?!"

While a third wrote: "Spira was amazing. Bring it back."

People are so desperate to see the Spira's return that there's even a petition.
