Chloe Sims says boyfriend Dan Edgar dumped her because she's ‘too clingy’

TOWIE star Chloe Sims has admitted that her relationship with boyfriend Dan Edgar failed because she was “too clingy”.

The 36-year-old shared that a traumatic childhood had left her feeling insecure, adding that being “rejected” hit her harder than most people.

Chloe makes the admission while sitting with Pete Wicks, as the pair discuss their failed romances.

In a preview clip from tonight’s show, Pete is heard sharing his commitment issues, and his fear of letting his guard down.

He is consoled by Chloe, who asks him to be honest with himself about why he can’t make a relationship last.

As the pair discuss Pete’s woes, the conversation turns to Chloe, who admits: “I’m clingy, you know we joke and say its separation anxiety.

“It is because my mum left at three, every time someone leaves me, regardless of how big or little it is, my brain is going to go back to the first time it happened to me.”

She adds that although her relationship with Dan, 28, wasn’t particularly serious, she still felt “rejected”.

Chloe’s admission comes just hours after a source told The Sun that Dan was “100 per cent single”, adding that he and Chloe were “happier as friends”.

Romance between the pair blossomed on a recent trip to Thailand, but Dan later admitted to cheating on Chloe with his girlfriend Amber Turner.

He was seen on last week’s TOWIE attempting to call it quits with both women in two separate bar meetings.

While Chloe remained calm and collected throughout the breakup, Amber was seen venting at the cheat, branding him a “gutless liar”.
