Chloe Madeley has given a candid insight into how her giving birth to her first child went last week.
The new mum, 35, says that while "childbirth did not go to plan", she was grateful for all the "compassionate, skilled, knowledgeable and experienced women" who assisted her in welcoming her first child into the world.
She also jokes that despite almost 'firing' husband James Haskell as her birth partner, she couldn't have wished for anyone better to be by her side as she gave birth to their baby daughter last Wednesday [August 10].
Chloe, 35, and her I'm A Celebrity star husband James, 37, are "beaming with pride" thanks to their new arrival, after unexpectedly falling pregnant at the end of last year following a struggle to conceive.

Taking to Instagram on Wednesday [August 17], Chloe shared a black-and-white snap of herself pregnant and preparing to give birth just over a week ago, and opened up about her experience with childbirth to her 256,000 followers.
She began her candid caption saying: "Forever grateful that even though my childbirth did not go to plan, I was surrounded by compassionate, skilled, knowledgeable and experienced women from start to finish.
"Here is my deepest, most heartfelt thank you to all the midwives out there who pull long shifts, have to make difficult decisions under pressure, have seen a hell of a lot of good and bad, and exercise compassion and reassurance every single day for those under their care."

She continued: "Also to the obstetricians who are exactly where they need to be, exactly when they need to be there, and who manage to see the whole thing through with what seems to be complete ease."
Chloe then went on to pay tribute to her husband, but not before poking fun at the fact she almost 'fired' him as her birth partner at one point.
"And @jameshaskell , after I nearly fired you from your post for fear you would be at another DJ gig when I went into labour [laughter emoji], you were the DREAM birth partner," the proud mum gushed in her Instagram caption.

She sweetly added: "I couldn’t have wished for anyone better to hold my hand and talk me through everything from start to finish [love heart emojis] thank you [love heart emoji] I love you [love heart emoji] we DO make cute babies."

Chloe previously explained how she was conscious not to share too much surrounding her pregnancy on social media, as she was is mindful of others who may be going through similar struggles she had experienced.
"Well, I suppose there are a few reasons why I'm not solely or constantly posting about being pregnant..." she explained during a Q&A on Instagram in March.
"1. As wonderful as it is, there is actually a lot more to my life than the fact that I'm pregnant. Quite a lot more.
"I remember when I was trying, for 2 years, and it was hard watching everyone around me get pregnant."
Chloe added that she never felt 'envious' about other people's pregnancies, just 'sad'.
