A heartbroken Chloe Ferry has revealed that her dad has died following a battle with cancer.
The Geordie Shore star took to Instagram on Thursday evening to break the sad news to her many followers. Posting on her Instagram story, Chloe wrote: "I've struggled to write this and I still can't accept what I'm about to say! I'm a very open person and normally happy to share all details of my life, however this is a time where I really need to have some privacy.
"I sadly lost my dad after his battle with cancer and it still doesn't feel real! I am going to take a break from social media and work commitments."

Asking for privacy, the 26-year-old added: "As a family we are all dealing with this and trying to come to terms with it...I'd really appreciate it if I was given some time to deal with this in my own way!"
News of her dads death comes after Chloe, who has also appeared in Celebrity Big Brother and Celebs Go Dating, announced her intentions to spend some time time away from social media earlier this year after getting 'some really bad news in the family.'
She told her many Instagram followers: "You know what I am only human and social media just gets too much and I just need a few days off it, off my phone.
"I have had some really bad news in the family in the last two weeks. Two bits of bad news what me close friends and family know about. So I will see you in a few days."
