Chloe Ferry disgusted by Wayne Lineker abuse after engagement stunt

A distressed Chloe Ferry has taken to Instagram in floods in tears at the abuse aimed at Wayne Lineker following their engagement stunt last week, revealing he'd even been branded a paedophile by trolls.

Last week Geordie Shore cast member Chloe, 25, and Ibiza nightlife mogul Wayne, 58, caused a social media storm after he claimed they'd got engaged, posting a picture of the pair with the caption "she said yes!"

Several of the duo's Celebs Go Dating co-stars passed on their congratulations, as did Wayne's son Sean, but plenty of others quickly wrote it off as a prank.

But a tearful Chloe has revealed that the reaction has been far from a laughing matter as she opened up on just how vile the abuse towards Wayne has been.

She told her many Instagram followers: "Some of the stuff that I have had to read about him is disgusting. I can’t believe the stuff he is getting called.

"Paedophile is such a strong word to call someone it is absolutely disgusting that he is getting called that when all his friends and family have to read that about him.

"Wayne is one of the most amazing people I have ever met in my life and he does not deserve the abuse and the awful words that are getting said about him I am disgusting having to read that."

Discussing details of a recent chat with Wayne, whose also been shaken by the messages he's had, Chloe continued: "I was on the phone to him the other day and he was getting upset, like I know he would never show that on social media but imagine him having to read those comments when he has such a big family, it is vile just vile.

"It really upsets us how people can still be allowed on social media when they have been that vile and nasty.

"Some of the stuff that has been said to Wayne, I don't know how he is coping at the minute, I can’t believe some of the stuff I have read.

"A lot of people don’t realise how seeing these comments can really sit with you as a person."
