Chisholm tipped to be next ABC chairman

Sam Chisholm, one of the world's most experienced media executives, is believed to be the Australian government's choice to be the next chairman of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC), the country's public service broadcaster. Chisholm is currently a director with James Packer's company. The combative Chisholm began his television career at GTV 9 in Melbourne and later ran Rupert Murdoch's BSkyB operation in Britain, turning it from a heavy loss-maker into a massively profitable pay TV company.
