Chiquito is giving out free chicken and chips for students getting GSCE results

Mexican food chain Chiquito is offering free food for students receiving their GCSE results on Thursday, August 12.

They simply have to show their student ID and proof of their results to gain the dish that is not normally on the menu.

The dish is chicken marinated in lemon and thyme, BBQ, or piri piri sauce with chips and there is no minimum spend meaning that students can get it completely free.

To gain the deal students will have to eat in as the deal is not available for takeaway. The offer is also available for A-Level students who received their results on Tuesday.

Other chains are also joining in with helping students celebrate with Nando's offering a free quarter chicken or starter after a minimum spend of £7 and Frankie and Benny's offering a free pizza of your choice per transaction.

Las Iguana's is providing the dessert by offering a free chocolate-covered churro after students order other food.
