A chippy that has customers queuing for hours down the street has opened its doors in Salford.
Mother Hubbard’s Chip Shop has launched its new eatery in Salford Shopping Centre.
The chip shop had hundreds of punters queuing up to get their hands on 45p fish and chips when it opened a branch in Bolton on Saturday (September 18).
Mother Hubbard's was offering up the cheap as chips deal - the price of fish and chips when the firm's first shop opened in 1972 - at the launch of their latest branch on St Helens Road in Daubhill.
Customers started queuing at 9am - two hours before the shop opened - to be among the first in line.

Mother Hubbard's head fryer Chris Farnell said that by 2pm the shop's 25 staff had served up around 700 portions and were expecting to do at least the same amount again before closing.
Ibrahim Khan, manager of the Salford branch, said he is delighted to be able to bring Mother Hubbard’s to Salford Shopping Centre.
He said: “The community has welcomed us with open arms. All the customers that have come in already have really loved the fish and chips.
“They’re thanking us and say that they’re really impressed with the portion size and the quality of the fish. They’re absolutely loving it.”
