Chipper Jones made a sweet catch on a foul ball while sitting in the stands at Game 1

Atlanta Braves legend Chipper Jones threw out the first pitch at Thursday’s Game 1 of the Cardinals-Braves NLDS series in Atlanta.

Then later on in the game he made a pretty sweet play in the stands, showing he still has a pretty good set of hands when he hauled in a foul ball like it was nothing.

Maybe the Braves could use him, because they blew a 3-1 lead late and lost to the Cardinals, 7-6.

But let’s get back to his catch. Jones, the former switch-hitting third baseman and left fielder who spent all 19 years of his career with the Braves, was sitting near the field when a fly ball came his way in the top of the 9th.

And he made the play:

Nicely done, Chipper.
