Chip and Joanna Gaines have been brewing up a coffee shop. It's called Magnolia Press

DALLAS _ Joanna Gaines, self-proclaimed coffee lover, has created her version of a coffee shop, and it's opening in Waco, Texas, this fall.

Magnolia Press coffee shop will be part of the $10.4 million expansion of the Silos District that's in the works by Waco's famous design team, Chip and Joanna Gaines. The idea for a coffee shop started a year ago when the Gaineses bought an old building next to their Magnolia Market at the Silos, Joanna Gaines said Friday in a new blog post.

Gaines said she's designed the space with the idea that people will walk in and feel a sense of history or familiarity.

The shop will have long library-style tables for community seating. She's using dark wood tones, rich paint hues and leather seating. That all reminds her of a classic library where she'd want to curl up with a book, Gaines wrote. Sounds cozy, but with 30,000 visitors a week coming to the Silos, that may be tough to pull off.

The name hails from the slower French press process of making coffee and is symbolic of the ambience she's hoping people will find at Magnolia Press, "a spot to slow down."

Gaines said she starts her day with a cup and looks forward to her afternoon refill.
