Chinese New Year takes place on Sunday, January 22, 2023, as the new lunar year begins.
The beginning of the Year of the Rabbit will be brought in with firecracker displays and parades planned in Liverpool, and across the UK. Each Chinese zodiac sign is given a horoscope for the year, and the Rabbit is said to be lucky for many.
However, for those wanting to give their luck an extra boost, certain crystals may help, according to tradition.

Crystals and semiprecious stones are said to have unique vibrational energies, with different crystals offering different healing benefits. TheChineseZodiac.org says there are two stones in particular than can bring us luck in 2023.
The first of these is Tiger Eye, named after its resemblance to a real tiger’s eye, with shades of yellow and pinkish-brown. It is said to have healing properties, and is a "magnet of abundance".
The Chinese Zodiac adds: "Having this crystal on you will make you more inspired in choosing opportunities that will bring you success".
Secondly, aventurine, the name of which comes from the Italian word for "chance", has been used for centuries as a lucky charm. Aventurine is said to "amplify or induce" positivity, including friendship, and to protect against negative energies.
