A billionaire actress appears to have been erased from history with all online mentions of her in films deleted.
Zhao Wei has millions of adoring fans and is worth billions of dollars - but appears to have been erased from history - with government officials refusing to say why.
It comes as serials and chat shows featuring the stunning actress were vanished from all major Chinese online streaming sites.
Zhao no longer even appears in the online credits for the movies she appears in.
She shot to fame in the late 1990s in China’s hugely successful show, My Fair Princess, reports news.com.au.

Since then, she’s progressed from being an A-list actress to director, pop singer and businesswoman.

China’s National Radio and Television Administration in 2018 ordered the banishment of actors whose “morality is not noble”, who was “tasteless, vulgar and obscene”, or whose “ideological level is low and have no class”.
All must ban “actors with stains, scandals and problematic moral integrity”.
At the weekend, the Communist Party-controlled Global Times accused Zhao of having “been entangled in various scandals over the years”
