For the USA Basketball Men’s National Team, the trip to China for the 2019 FIBA World Cup has been less than joyous. A defeat in the quarterfinals to France knocked Team USA out of medal contention and a loss the next day in consolation play seemed to seal a doomed-from-the-start deal. But Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson also is in China and seems to be having a blast.
There for the announcement of the fall release of his ANTA KT5 shoe, Thompson is taking Shanghai by storm — wowing the locals and soaking up new experiences.
Joined by Warriors teammate Jacob Evans, Thompson dabbled in the art of traditional Chinese medicine.
Thompson posted a clip of the ANTA KT5 to his Instagram and wrote that the new model is scheduled to hit the Bay Area this fall.
Thompson — ahem, #VacayKlay — has traveled the world this offseason, enjoying some hard-earned rest and relaxation with girlfriend Laura Harrier while rehabbing from ACL surgery.
In China, Thompson doesn’t seem too concerned with basketball, choosing instead to immerse himself in new experiences and soak up the love of his Chinese fans.
