China’s decision to impose a 25 percent levy on US soybeans could pose a risk to US soybean farmers as well as to China’s supply of the vital ingredient, which goes into sauces, tofu and even animal feed.
Analysts say the government is taking action to ensure there is no shortage, as other suppliers are being sought out and domestic production is encouraged.
