China-bound Gareth Bale outperforms Real Madrid stars in the most brutal Marca ratings

Gareth Bale may well be on his way out of Real Madrid this summer, but that didn't stop the Welshman outperforming his fellow team-mates in their pre-season defeat to Atletico Madrid.

In what could prove to be Bale's last game for Los Blancos, Zinedine Zidane's side were batted 7-3 by their arch-rivals Atletico at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

A Diego Costa hat-trick followed by strikes from Joao Felix and Angel Correa handed Diego Simeone's side a 5-0 lead at the break, before Costa and Vitolo struck again for Atletico in the second-half.

Nacho, Karim Benzema and Javier Hernandez Carrera all managed to add their names to scoresheet, but their goals proved nothing more than mere consolations.

But Bale, was introduced for Marcelo just after the hour mark, was seen as one of his side's shining stars by the Spanish publication, managing to collect a single star for his performance in the final half-an-hour, while eight of his team-mates failed to even gain a score.

Bale looks set to leave the Spanish capital to join Chinese club Jiangsu Suning on a three-year deal in the coming days, with reports on Friday evening stating that Wales' record goalscorer is "very close" to finalising his move.
