China approves new open-pit coal mine project in Xinjiang region

BEIJING (Reuters) - ** China's National Energy Administration (NEA) said on Wednesday it had approved a new open-pit coal mine project in western Xinjiang region with a total investment of 1.12 billion yuan ($165.74 million)

** The coal mine will have an annual capacity of 4 million tonnes
